Beach Morning Glory

As I write my name
Upon the sand
I think of all that life presents
Of challenges given
And fears overcome
Of love freely given
And tasks not yet done.
Of names that have yet to be writ
Of deaths that bring an unbearable split
Of life that has yet to be born
Of dreams that have yet to take form
Of places that do not bear my mark
Of events that have yet to embark
Of journeys that I do wish shall come
Of a life that I believe will become
Of names, and death and life and dreams
Of places, events, and journeys supreme
And as I write my name down in the sand
I see a beach that's full, not bland
Which leaves my poem as an allegory
Praying my life becomes-beach morning glory.
